Concealed Carry Course - $55
(This is not an NRA Certified Course)
McGowan Firearms offers concealed carry courses taught by a NRA certified instructor. Our classes are not a three hour commercial for our products, rather we are focused on the fundamentals of firearms including safe handling, safe storage, cleaning, and firearm etiquette.
Classes are offered Saturday mornings from 9:00 am to noon by appointment. To register for the class, please come to the store and pay the $10 deposit. No firearm needed, just bring a photo ID.
Once you have completed this course, you will need to pay the Florida Department of Agriculture a $117 fee for a 7 year license. This can now be done at their local office on Baymeadows Way by appointment. To set an appointment call their office at 904-448-4341.
*If you have received pistol training in the military (active or inactive), you do not need to take the Concealed Carry Course to get a license. Stop by our store and get your free CCW packet.
